QLEA 2020 Scholarship
In 2020, QLEA is offering two scholarships
The initiative aims to support two participants of LiveCorp’s Shipboard Stockperson’s Training Program by providing:
A bursary to the value of $1600to cover the LiveCorp’s Shipboard Stockperson’s Training Fees which includes tuition, training manuals, online exam and certificates.
Industry work placements aligned with course requirements
QLEA Membership in 2021 providing opportunities to network and gain knowledge about Queensland’s Livestock Export Industry
Eligibility
To be eligible for Queensland Livestock Exporter’s Association’s 2020 Scholarship, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident
Resided in Queensland for 2+ years
Have had significant exposure to livestock production business/es
Have a strong desire to pursue a career in the live export industry
Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of their commitment to a career in live export, as well as their potential to become a leader in animal welfare, safety and quality assurance throughout the export process.
Recipients will be required to attend LiveCorp’s Shipboard Stockperson’s Training Program (To be held virtually over 5 days, approximately 11am – 4.00pm (AEDT) Wednesday 28, Thursday 29, Friday 30 October, Monday 2 & Tuesday 3 November. ) and receive full accreditation by also completing two voyages where competency is assessed.

Shortlisted applicants may invited to an interview.
If no applicants are deemed to meet the selection criteria scholarships may not be awarded.
